Will they for us,
pore over letters,
scour every poem,
dissect every book?
Will they for us,
wonder were these
written to the other?
Were they perhaps
lovers, friends or rivals?
Will they for us,
seek meaning in a comma,
ask why this certain word
and not some similar other?
Will they for us,
study for college courses,
test on human nature as
revealed in our verses?
