Suffer the Innocents

Whether in deserts devoid
of compassionate humanity
filled with filth, refuse and wraiths
of once precious human dignity
Or the land of opportunity
where young families struggle by
torn apart by self incest
and godhood self decreed
It is the innocents who suffer
children of good and non intent
who for malice’ sake
and self import
hang starving in the wind
their tears watering the earth
their eyes begging questions
they don’t understand
of why they were unwanted.
